Forvo, the world's largest pronunciation dictionary, has released its list of the most pronounced words of 2017. Wondering which word has been reproduced the most this year? The Danish word "hygge" was the one which aroused the curiosity of our users this year, after the popularity the word gained last year. The word is said to have no direct translation in English although it can be defined as “cosiness" or "a feeling of contentment or well-being”.

The music industry had also its impact on our users and, as a result, "despacito" is placed in the second position. Since the beginning of the year, this song by Luis Fonsi obtained thousands and thousands views during the whole year. The popularity of Ed Sheeran also continues to increase, as he made the final list.

Continuing with personalities, Emmanuel Macron and Carles Puigdemont has received many visits, due to the French presidential election in May and the political situation in Catalonia.
